Just 18 months after receiving the prestigious Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star, MI™ Windows and Doors’ Prescott Valley facility picked up another accolade from the state of Arizona. In March, officials from the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) named MI Windows as one of its three winners of the Leadership Award. ADOSH annually bestows this honor on VPP Star sites that go above and beyond in maintaining workplace safety.
This award is provided to employers and employees who work to improve their workplace on a proactive level. This also includes the influence the company has in the community. Created in 1982, VPP was established by the Federal Government’s Department of Labor to encourage workplace safety. Fewer than 1/2 of 1% of all the jobsites in the country have achieved VPP status, though MI Windows currently has three plants that fly the VPP Star flag.
Founded in 1947, MI Windows and Doors is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of energy-efficient vinyl and aluminum windows and sliding glass doors. With plants in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Arizona, MI offers a broad spectrum of windows and doors backed by excellent customer service. The company’s commitment to safety, quality, and service are exemplified by the people that represent it nationwide.
