Derby Building Products Inc., manufacturer of the Tando™ and Novik brands of exterior cladding, has announced Rachelle Shendow as marketing manager. In this role, Shendow will be responsible for all communications, public relations, and advertising of the Tando and Novik brands. These marketing programs will target building product, design, and supply channel professionals, as well as homeowners.
Shendow’s 20-year career in building products is highlighted by her direct involvement in launching the AZEK® Trim and Decking brands and growing the Trex® decking brand, all in previously unbranded categories. These well-known product innovations drove increased consumer awareness and acceptance of alternative materials leading to industry shifts away from traditional building products. For the past two years, Shendow has been leading the marketing efforts for Mirixa®, a technology company.
“Shendow is very well regarded in the building industry,” said Ralph Bruno, Derby’s CEO. “Her hands-on communication skills, creative enthusiasm, marketing experience, and expertise in creative design have allowed her to provide strategic advertising and marketing direction to achieve proven success in highly competitive markets.” Shendow holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in marketing from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and resides in Berryville, Virginia.
