Forté Specialty Contractors, an experiential construction company based in Las Vegas, Nevada, has received the 2020 Silver Nugget Award for Best Custom Home. The coveted awards are a joint effort between the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association and the Las Vegas Review-Journal to honor the best in design and architecture in the local home building industry.
Forté is known for building and renovating many of the area’s luxury homes. The award-winning home, appropriately named the Cascade property, is a 13,000 sq.ft. residence located in The Summit development in Las Vegas. Forté coupled with TAL Studios and Brett Robillard, a Las Vegas-based architect, to complete the residence intended to embrace the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape in the community.
Designed as a clean, contemporary residence set into a hill, the home cascades down the topography to take advantage of the sightlines and vistas surrounding the property. Cascade contains five bedrooms, six baths, two powder rooms, a media room, a meditation room, a commercial elevator, and two five-car garages. Specifically designed with strong attention to detail, it is constructed with a high level of accuracy and achieves a sense of ease, luxury, and modernist expression, which include museum-quality art rails, custom-designed to display the owner’s artwork collection.
The outdoor living spaces are designed as an extension of the interior space, with subtle changes in the floor levels that aid in creating distinct areas such as the fire pit, the pool and spa, the BBQ area, and the outdoor kitchen. A small pavilion on the west side of the pool punctuates the exterior space, which is clad in locally sourced Las Vegas rock. Cascade offers a unique living experience with each space designed for a specific purpose. The kitchen is the hub for daily activity and has a visual connection to a large single piece of glass to the North and a larger projected glass pane to the South. The media and meditation rooms offer spaces to relax and unwind.
