Dykeman Architects is pleased to announce the hiring of Aaron MacDonald. He joins the team with 25 years of architectural experience, with an extensive background working on schools, multifamily, commercial, custom homes, and historic preservation. Taking on the role of project architect, he will be responsible for managing projects, developing design solutions, and mentoring.
“I’m excited to join a great firm with great people, and I see it as a place where I can continue to grow my career. Growing up, my elementary school’s unique form and organization inspired me and was one reason I why I wanted to be an architect since I was a kid,” said MacDonald. “It’s rewarding to work on schools, along with other building types, and to pay that forward. I love architecture, but I love creating uplifting spaces for others even more.”
MacDonald has an accumulative ten years of experience in K-12, with a dedicated focus on these projects over the last several years. Prior to Dykeman, MacDonald worked on schools, multifamily, and custom homes in the Puget Sound area of Washington and in Alaska. He started his career in California and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in architecture from U.C. Berkeley.
