         Ware Malcomb, an international design firm, has announced Brian M. Koshley, AIA, has joined the firm as regional director in the San Diego, California, office.  In this position, Koshley is responsible for the growth and overall management of the San Diego offices.  As a licensed architect, Koshley brings over 35 years of industry experience to the firm.  Before joining Ware Malcomb, he held various senior level roles at international design firms and focused on business development, architecture, and interior architecture.  Throughout his career he has managed projects across industries and specializes in adaptive reuse, building repositioning, and workplace design.  Koshley has worked closely with public and private sector clients and is committed to empowering people through business intelligence-based design.

         Koshley holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of California, Berkeley.  He is active in commercial real estate industry organizations as a member of American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, and National Association of Office and Industrial Properties.

         Koshley joins the company as principal, Tiffany English, departs Ware Malcomb to join longtime firm client, Qualcomm, as senior director of architecture on their Global Real Estate team.  English spent over 20 years at Ware Malcomb contributing greatly to the growth of the Northern California and San Diego markets, as well as the interior architecture practice firmwide.  “I am so proud of the growth and design excellence the San Diego teams have achieved, and I know Koshley will successfully lead the Ware Malcomb team in this dynamic market,” English said.

         Ware Malcomb has also announced that Kim Von Der Ahe-Arial has been promoted to director, building measurement services.  In this new role she will be responsible for the national growth of Ware Malcomb’s building measurement services throughout the company.  Since joining the firm in 2018, Arial has focused on expanding the firm’s building measurement services across North America.  She has secured numerous regional and national clients to expand these services into new markets.  Her team works with landlords, asset management firms, property managers, and brokers to deliver accurate floor plans with quick turnaround times.

         She is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in communications from the University of Southern California. 

         Ware Malcomb has also announced Anita Gross has been promoted to associate principal, corporate accounts in the firm’s headquarters office in Irvine, California.  In her new role, she leads the corporate accounts team, which supports the project delivery of corporate accounts nationally.  Gross joined Ware Malcomb in 2005 as a project manager and has held multiple roles within the company throughout her tenure including promotions to Studio Manager and Director.  In 2017, she was promoted to Director, Corporate Accounts to assist in the strategy and growth of Ware Malcomb’s Corporate Accounts team, capitalizing on her leadership, client management, and technical skills. 

         “With over 25 years of industry experience, Gross brings extensive knowledge to our corporate accounts program and truly embraces the Ware Malcomb culture,” said Ted Heisler, vice president, interior architecture and design at Ware Malcomb.  “Her mastery of account management has allowed us to successfully grow the corporate accounts program to comprise over 50% of Ware Malcomb’s business.”

         Gross holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Phoenix.
