The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released details on the final ENERGY STAR® Version 7.0 Residential, Window, Door, and Skylight specification. According to the announcement, Version 7.0 provides a significant jump in efficiency and savings and will recognize a good selection of types and styles of products offered by a variety of manufacturers at a range of price points. This version includes changes to zone requirements, zone coverage, and associated requirements.
National Fenestration Rating Council FenStar® Certification Program staff are reviewing the requirements and will provide FenStar participants with information on how Version 7.0 will affect the NFRC program.
